Canadian Paralympic Athletics Championship 2005

2005 marks the third year of the Canadian Paralympic Athletics Championship - Canada's national track and field championships for athletes with a disability. Prior to 2003, each disability group with the Paralympic community held its own separate championship. In 2004, the combined championships were held in Edmonton and in 2003, they were held as part of the Toronto Challenge which up until that time, had served as the national championships for wheelchair athletics only.

The 2005 Canadian Paralympic Championship and Open Challenge featured the country's very best athletes with a disability, many of whom are world record holders and multiple Paralympic Games champions. - In addition to the Canadian competitors, the meet will also be ope to foreign athletes. Although foreign athletes may advancce to finals, it will be the top three Canadian athletes who were awarded national championship medals.

The Championship games were held at Douglas Park Track which is located in scenic Wascana Park. The facility is a legacy of the 1975 and 1987 Western Canada Summer Games and provides a complete array of athletic facilities,
