An addition was built to the north side of the school in 1935 to accommodate the high school students. It opened for the 1936-37 term with grades 8-12 and 22 students from many of the surrounding areas. The High School closed at the end of the 1941-42 term with 17 students enrolled.
Teachers had to accept room and board at the home of a district resident. John Arnott, Ed Lavoie and Walter Daniels were homes offered to board the teachers. The first teacherage was built in 1927.
Janitor work was done by a member of one of the families of the district and sometimes by the teacher. The school was heated by wood or coal in a Waterman Waterbury furnace. A Duratherm oil burner was purchased around 1946.
Water was originally obtained from a well. When it became unfit for use Mr. Hodges supplied water from his well for several years. Around 1935 an ice house was built where ice blocks were stored in sawdust.
The school barn, built about the same time as the school, housed the horses for both school children and for people attending social functions held in the school.
The Clashmoor School closed at the end of June, 1961, with the teacher Lena McConnell and an enrollment of ten pupils.
