The first meeting to organize the school district was held in 1931. The name Pine Creek was chosen because of all the pine trees and the Horsehide Creek that ran through the area. The site chosen for the school was NE 19-45-9-W2.

The planning and building of the school took almost four years. The school opened for classes on January 2, 1935 with Albert Stanik as the teacher.

In the first year there were 42 students ranging in age from six to fifteen, with twenty six in grade one, and not one of
them able to speak English. A new and better built in 1946.

Pine Creek was used for more than classes and concerts. It was also used for church services, political meetings, dances, and as a polling station for elections. The school was closed on June 30, 1960 and the pupils were bussed to the school in Mistatim. The last teacher was Shirley Krone.
