Pine Creek School District # 4949

The planning and building of the school took almost four years. The school opened for classes on January 2, 1935 with Albert Stanik as the teacher.
In the first year there were 42 students ranging in age from six to fifteen, with twenty six in grade one, and not one of them able to speak English. A new and better built in 1946.

Pine Creek was used for more than classes and concerts. It was also used for church services, political meetings, dances, and as a polling station for elections. The school was closed on June 30, 1960 and the pupils were bussed to the school in Mistatim. The last teacher was Shirley Krone.
