Golburn School District # 1225
The school was built in the summer of 1905 and that fall there were five pupils enrolled. There were summer sessions at first because of the severe winter, poor transportation, and the distance to travel. The first teacher was Wynn Schell. The first trustees were John Furber, Albert Cunningham and E. W. Manchester. Over the years a barn and teacherage were added to the site.
The school was closed in 1965. The school and community held a big picnic with former teachers and students to commemorate the sixty years of service to education in the area. The community continues to use the school site for the annual Golburn Fair.
