Addington School # 3147 was built on the southeast corner of SE 16-48-12 W2 and was opened in 1914. In 1920 the school was moved to the southwest corner of SE 14-48-12 W2 by Wilfred Lussier. In 1932 the school was again moved, this time to the southeast corner of SE 22-48-12 W2 by Bert Ubdegrove. In 1932 a modern new school was built. The old school building was moved to George Schroepfer’s farm.

In 1958 the school was closed and the children were bussed to the town of Arborfield. The school was also moved to Arborfield and became the agricultural school. Addington School had been open for forty-four years.
