Miner Creek School District #5046
.
A meeting was held on January 31, 1934 to discuss the building of a school. On February 16 1934 there was a letter from the deputy minister advising that an order had been issued establishing the Miner Creek School District #5046. The area residents collected the necessary materials to construct a school. The school, named after the nearby Miner Creek, was opened May 13, 1935 at NW 11-44-13-W2.
As the enrolment grew, cloakrooms were added onto the school to provide more room. In 1959 a small school was moved in and used for one year. The school closed in 1961 and the children were bussed to Eldersley.
