Ditton Park School District # 4406
.
On April 9th, 1921, 2 acres on the south west corner of (Ernest Fawcett’s homestead) NW 4-48-13 W2nd, had been purchased for the school site at $25 per acre. A school, barn and ice house were built. The post office, hall and school were named after Ditton Place in England. The school opened in Jan, 1922 with Mrs. C.M. Vannieukerke as the teacher.
In 1922 the annual salary paid was $1200. By 1933 the salary rate had fallen to $450. It was not until 1946-47 that the salary paid was back to the 1922 level.

After school closure in 1962, the students were bussed to Arborfield # 4864. 158 children from 45 families had attended Ditton Park school during the years it was open. The barn was sold. The school was torn down and salvaged.
