Millford School District #4410
.
In 1921 there were enough children in the district to establish a school and a school was built in the NE33 - 42-15- W2. The first teacher, Kathy McInnis, boarded with Mrs. Horace Thomas. In later years a teacherage was built. In 1924 the school was destroyed by fire. A new school was completed in 1927 with Clem Tuck as teacher.
Anne Angus recalled a time when the entire class dashed to the windows to watch a hunting party from the Kiniston First Nation race through the school yard on horseback.
In 1959 the school was closed and the children were bussed to the larger school unit school in Tisdale and to Sylvania. In 1961 the Milford School Building was moved to Sylvania for use as an extra classroom.
