Deldale School District # 5171
.
The school was built in 1939 by Gus Montie and opened in the summer of 1940 with Miss Alma Legare as the teacher. It was known as “Camp K” until 1940 when a petition was signed to have the name changed to “Deldale”.
The original location of the school was SE 5 - 45 - 9 W2. In 1948 the school was moved to a higher and hence drier location-NE32-44-9W2. Ithadbeenreportedthattoo many students had been absent because of bad weather and impossible roads.
In 1943 Bannock school was opened so those students that lived in the eastern part of the district transferred there. The school closed on June 30, 1957. The students were then bussed to Mistatim. The last teacher was Mrs. Mildred Lutz.
